Polly Diehls, 96 of Milan passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, OH.  Polly was born Tuesday April 24, 1917, in Mallie, KY, the daughter  of Samuel and Rhoda (Reynolds) Allen.  Polly worked as a school teacher for 44 years in several locations: Pippa Passes, KY; Alice Lloyd College; four years at Dillsboro; and finishing her last 26 years at Milan.  She was a member of the Pilgrim Home Church, and belonged to the Indiana State Teachers Association, and National Education Association. Polly enjoyed her family and friends. Polly is survived by daughters: Linda (Phillip) Howell of Shelbyville, IN; Deborah (Bruce) Stephens of Milan, IN.  4 Grandsons: Jess King, Bill, Brandon, and Cody Stephens. .  Polly was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.  Funeral services will be Monday May 6, 2013, 11:00 AM  at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Brothers: Robert Haney and Curtis Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in New Cravens Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday 6-8PM at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Pilgrim Home Church or Rescue 30.  Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, entrusted with arrangements.  Box 243, 707 S.
