Jack Richard Shields, age 74, was born November 27, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to Jack Emerson Shields, M.D., and Beatrice Helen (Pedicord) Shields.  He departed this earth May 17, 2013 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, IN. Jack was married to his loving wife, Janet (Morgan) Shields, September 29, 1980 in Jellico, TN and she survives.  He is survived by four children, Jack A. Shields, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Sarah V. Shields, Milton, FL, Seth M. (Nicole) Shields, Dayton, OH, and Katherine E. (Paul) Schils, Cincinnati, OH.  The true loves of his life, his grandchildren, also survive: Jake Shields, Lauren Pinkney, Isabella Shields, Conner Shields, and the newest grandchild who was born the day he left this world, Olivia Schils. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren. Jack is survived by his brother, Joseph E. Shields, Greensburg, IN.   He was predeceased by his parents and sister Jerry K. Shields.
