Barbara Lynn French, 71, of Aurora, IN, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her home.

She was born Tuesday, June 3, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Daughter of the late James H. Irons and the late Emma Metzler Irons.

She worked as a Traffic Manager for Schenley Distillery, retiring after over 24 years of service.

 Barbara was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church, was Baptized, Confirmed and attended St. John School. She was also a member of the LWML (Ladies Group). She enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Red’s, Bengals and IU. She enjoyed fishing and boating, and liked to read. Barbara loved to walk her dog Mandy who is an Australian Shepherd. Her faith, family and church friends were very important throughout her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is her loving husband of 28 years, Troy French of Aurora, IN.; Daughter, Cathy (Jeffrey) Seng of Greendale, IN; Son, Troy (Kathy) French of North Vernon, IN; Brother, James (Barbara) E. Irons of Shelby, NC; Grandchild, Andrew French of Greendale, IN; as well as a Niece, Nephews and many friends.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Mechanic Street, Aurora, Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Edward A. Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
