Injured S. Ripley Teens Recovering

Romweber FlatsThe three S. Ripley teenagers injured in the fatal accident Thursday are healing. Sgt. Noel Houze with the state police in Versailles, said he learned Thomas Crawford has a fractured rib and bruised lung, and is expected to be released from the hospital soon. Caleb Cumberworth is well enough to be interviewed by police about the accident today. He had minor hand injuries. Kayla Adkinson has a fractured pelvis and may be released soon.

Police continue with the crash investigation. When asked, Houze noted there were no skid marks from where the two pickups t-boned at the intersection, which indicates they didn’t brake. It is still not known why the six teens left the school function that morning.

Meanwhile, visitation and funeral services are being made for the teens. Stratton Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles will be handling all three. Check our website for obituary information.
