Resided In:    Passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Saxony Hospital in Fishers, Indiana. She was born June 20, 1923 in Roan Mountain, TN to the parents of Carrick & Laura Wilson Johnson. After graduation , Edith moved to Washington DC where she traveled for the Gabriel Company until her boss was drafted into the service. Edith and a friend then traveled to Indianapolis , IN where she worked for the Real Silk Company. She married Charles Wm. Smith February 19, 1944 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1990. Edith had worked at a Grocery Store in Napoleon, IN from the late 1960's until the late 1980's . She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Napoleon, IN and also a member of the Ladies Red Hatters of Batesville, IN . .

"Doc" had been a highline construction worker for the Union out of Indianapolis, IN . He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers. He attended Solid Rock Christian Fellowship Church of Napoleon, Indiana.

Resided In:   Dillsboro. Richard was born April 3, 1940 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of Leonard Arthur and Jesslyn (Ball) Murray. He married Shelia (Taylor) Murray October 4, 1969 and she survives. Richard was a retired telephone repair man with Cincinnati Bell Telephone for 37 years and was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church. He served his country having served in the US Army. He loved deer and turkey hunting, fishing, and watching old western movies.

Passed Away On:   Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio

She was born July 11, 1932 to the parents of: Hervey & Susie White Linville. She married Pearl L. "Beardy" Byard Jr. July 31, 1950 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1999. Blackie had worked 31 years at Vines Egg Plant which was located in Osgood years ago. She also had worked for the US Shoe Company located in Osgood for 8 years retiring in 1998. The last few years, since 2000, she lived at the Buckeye Community Homes in Osgood where she loved to play euchre & bingo with her friends. She enjoyed painting items of art . Blackie was the queen of driving her scooter all over Osgood , people will miss seeing her waving hand and beautiful smile as she flew on by !

She was born November 26, 1912 in Kibby, OK to the parents of Benjamin Alonzo & Effie Byrd Craft. She married Reece Ray Rose November 12, 1932 and he preceded her in death on January 30 of 1977. Oma grew up in Morgan County, Kentucky. As a young girl she had attended Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Morgan County, KY . At the age of 16 years, she and her family moved to Osgood, IN . She later met Reece R. Rose and they were married. She and Reece bought a farm in the Mud Pike Church area. There they raised their three children . Oma had attended the Laughery Bridge Church near Napoleon, In and was also a Ladies Aid Member. Later she attended Mud Pike Baptist Church, of Osgood, IN . Vinup April 28, 1956 and he preceded her in death December 18, 2005. Dodie was a retired employee of Nutone Industries in Cincinnati and was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

William S. Bruns Sr.

Age:   70

Resided In:   Milan. Bill was born April 5, 1941 in Wyoming, Ohio the son of Bernard and Margaret (Anderson) Bruns. He married Catherine Henn Bruns June 10, 1961 and she preceded him in death September 5, 2005. Bill worked several jobs over the years. He and the late Dale Lochard operated Milan Heating and Cooling servicing Milan and surrounding areas for many years. He later opened Bruns Heating and Cooling with his sons in downtown Milan. His last employment was at Valeo in Greensburg where he took a medical retirement. He was an inspiration to many especially after loosing both legs to PAD and later with lung cancer, not letting either get him down. He continued to help others and also serve many positions in his church as well as helping in the community. He was very well known for his love of music and playing the organ. He played the organ at his church and also would provide entertainment for friends, family, other churches, nursing homes, and other community events. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and the CB Helping Hands Club. Bill volunteered the last several years helping his son and grandson who are both firemen by stuffing over 2000 enveloped for the annual fund drive for the Milan Volunteer Fire Dept.

He was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church and loved golfing, fishing, sports of all kinds, going to Turfway, coin collecting, and spending time with Family and loved ones.

Resided In:   She was born Thursday, October 4, 1917 in Eagle Station, KY, Daughter of the late William Murray and the late Mary DuVall Murray. She worked as a Book Keeper and helped manage the paint store for Scudder Brothers Construction. The company w as owned by her late husband of 51 years, Alvin Scudder and his brother, Lawrence Scudder. I n earlier years she also worked at Seagrams Distillery. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora. Gladys was an all time Cincinnati Reds fan, she not only knew all the players, she could have been the best coach they ever had. Gladys loved church and enjoyed reading, but her family was her greatest joy.

Resided In:   He was born Thursday, August 7, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Son of Millard "Speed" House and Betty Myers. Dale worked in excavating for himself for over 20 years. He was a former member of Aurora Eagles, Aurora Moose, and also a former member of Harley of Cochran. Dale enjoyed fishing, boating and motorcycles, but time with family and friends was what he enjoyed most.

John Ed "Pap" Hellmich

Age:   83

Resided In:   Greensburg. He worked for the American Breeder Service for 40 years as a sales rep, serving many farms in the area, and was a member of the 4H Fair Board, Premier Ag Board, a statewide dairy show judge and travelled the country giving presentations for Hoosier Harvestore.

Passed Away On:   Dec. 31

Survivors Include:   Five children, Marc, Debbie Lanning and Chris Hellmich, all of Greensburg; Beth Aitken of Arizona and Jeff Hellmich of Missouri; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and companion Bev Gahimer; three brothers, James (Jo) Hellmich of Rockford, Ill.; William Hellmich of Greensburg and Carl (Katha) Hellmich of Greensburg; sisters Mary Lou Buckley of Colorado, Ann Hall of Terre Haute; He was preceded in death by his wife Fredanell of 53 years.
