Rose M. Ickenroth 60, of Dillsboro (formerly of Milan) passed away Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Waters of Rising Sun. Rose was born Sunday October 26, 1952 in Salines, CA; the daughter of Lawrence and Cleo (Myers) Sayre. She was a homemaker. Rose was of the Baptist faith. She was a member and Past Present of the Aurora VFW Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Aurora Eagles and Moose lodge, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Rose loved being a grandmother, camping at Ike’s Place with her late husband Jeffrey, listening to different kinds of music and spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is survived by her son: Roger Gatliff of Miamitown, OH; Daughter: Renae Gatliff of Dillsboro, Brothers: Frank Myers of WI; Jim Myers of Brookville; Sister: Teresa (Tony) Veldhaus of Milan, Grandchild Tatum Eli Roof, nephew Brian Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald “Jeffrey” Ickenroth and her parents.
Funeral Service will be Saturday March 9, 2013, 1PM at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, with Pastor Jim Kuchera officiating. Burial will follow in St. Sinai Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday March 9, 2013, 12-1 PM at the funeral home. Aurora VFW Ladies Auxiliary service will be at 12:50pm. Memorials may be made to the Family.
