Stella E. Sawyers 92, of Moores Hill passed away Thursday February 28, 2013 at Waters of Batesville. Stella was born March 24, 1920 in Moores Hill, the daughter of David & Matilda (Ashcraft) Hall. She worked at Hill Rom. Stella liked spending time on the farm, planting her flowers, watching birds; and was a caregiver to many, above all she liked spending time with her family and friends.
Stella is survived by her son: David Butler, of Versailles, Daughters: Rose Hummel of Moores Hill; Rita (Ken) Moeller of Batesville; Cathy (Bob) Cornett of Moores Hill; Betty Shinkle of Fairfield; Jayna Denny of Sunman; Susan (Robert) Baculik of Madison WI; 16 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, several Great-Great- Grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son: Phillip Butler, grandson David Hummel, granddaughter Kelly Butler, her husband Raymond Ryle, parents, 2 sisters, 7 brothers.
Funeral services will be Monday March 4, 2013, 11 AM at South Sparta Church South of Moores Hill. Burial will follow in South Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 10-11 at the church.
