The Winter Storm started for the WRBI listening area just after 6 p.m. Between five to 8 inches of snow is expected for Franklin County, and up to 9 inches for Decatur County, up to 6 inches for Ripley and Dearborn County. A winter storm warning remains in effect through Wednesday morning.
The Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. The heaviest snow is expected to fall this evening into early Wednesday morning. Snow will continue until around sunrise Wednesday.
